I've been dreaming of Fall. I always get all weird about Fall. I dream of Central Park... And sweaters, and scarves, and boots... Crunchy leaves. School supplies. Pumpkin EVERYTHING! Don't get me started.
Oh, I am so excited for it. And it is coming. I can feel it! (Despite the warm weather.)
Logan and I went out to check the garden this morning... We were thinking that it should be slowing down because the end of Summer is near.
But, we found out that we are much more blessed than we had thought. A little too blessed for just two people who like to eat things other than just vegetables for every meal.
Yes, that is FOUR huge zucchini! Which might be ok if we didn't have SIX already in our fridge.
Maybe we'll wrap our veggies in bacon or something.
Also, I learned where earwigs get their names. Bleh!
(But so much better than the explanation my siblings told me when I was little... I'll let you use your imagination on this one.)
Home grown corn is worth it though! Delicious!!
Machinery Adventure:
I got to control the back hoe as we pulled a neighbor's tree out of their yard.
Logan only taught me how to control the bucket. Then, mid-tree-pull, he said, "Ok, now back up!"
Uhhhh....
So, I did the best I could until Logan's dad got there. :)
As a newlywed couple, we don't have many holiday decorations. So I've been working on some fun, cheap Fall ones! Pinterest is my greatest ally.
Also. I'd like to mention that while The Dollar Store is a pretty cool place, it is not a very good craft store. Haha I'll have to make a trip to the "big city" forty minutes away for supplies soon.
I found this one here.
I had to modify it because mine ended up having a huge hole in the middle. So I took a soda lid and hot glued a bunch of pieces of twine in it. I also added curled paper for some vines. I've been doing her twine pumpkins too! They are pretty cute and easy!
I found this one here.
Super cute and easy. :) I'm going to make it a pillow.
I'm still trying to figure out the purpose I'm going for with this blog. Thanks for your patience as I do.
Stay happy!
